This webinar is designed for those working in an educational, or child care setting, or those supporting staff in such roles. We will begin by explaining the various senses, including the “invisible” senses, that can cause dysregulation in a child. We will then explore various co-regulation activities and strategies used to support a child’s ability to regulate in a variety of settings.
Guest Presenter
Marcia Ryan, MS, is the Associate Director of Client Services at Chaddock in Quincy, Illinois and was integral in the development of Chaddock’s Developmental Trauma and Attachment Program. With over 35 years of service, Marcia has served children and families in Chaddock’s residential, foster care, outpatient, school, community crisis management, and in-home intensive programs. Marcia is a certified TBRI® Practitioner and provides TBRI® and other attachment and trauma related trainings for school and residential programs across the country as well as all newly hired Chaddock staff. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement from Western Illinois University and a Masters in Counseling Degree from Capella University, specializing in school counseling.
About the Host
Kirsty Ruggles, is the Lead Training Manager for the Knowledge Center at Chaddock in Quincy, IL. She has worked with children and families at Chaddock for over 8 years, within Chaddock’s Outpatient Program, Chaddock’s Special Education School, Chaddock’s Residential Program, within various local school districts and through The Knowledge Center at Chaddock. Kirsty has trained and presented both nationally and throughout IL., on a range of topics including trauma-informed practices, early attachment and developmental trauma, sensory interventions and mindfulness.
